Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a specialty of dentistry that includes the diagnosis, surgical and adjunctive treatment of disease, injuries and defects involving both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region.

Patients are generally referred to Dr. MacMillan by either their doctor or dentist and the procedures can be performed in rooms or at a hospital depending on the nature of the surgery.
